About Me

Back in early 2010 I applied for, and was subsequently selected, an International Secondment at my workplace. I was going to be moving from the relative quietness of Kings Lynn and the North Norfolk Coast and moving to Fishers, Indiana in the United States of America. Originally this was going to be for 12 months but I have since accepted an offer to extend it for a further 12 months. Must. Keep. Accent.

This blog is intended to be read by my family, friends, coworkers, and any random strangers who happen to stumble across it on the Internets. Main subjects seem to be food, food, travel, food, petrol prices, food and, errr, that's pretty much it. Oh, and my quest to rid the word soccer from the native vocabulary!

Ultimately it's supposed to be a place I can write about the differences, the similarities, and how we do or do not conform to our perceived stereotypes. After all, we are "two countries separated by a common language".

I try and keep it fairly light hearted and humorous with nothing too serious ...
